It was inevitable. We’ve been goofing off online for so long (creating “content,” if you will), that it was only a matter of time before we realized that having a centralized hub for all of our shenanigans just made sense. Enter… Pixel x Pixel Party!
For those of you who are new or need a refresher, Pixel x Pixel began as a podcast in 2018 by BFFs Anne of Chic Pixel from sunny Australia and Marcus of Pixel Pacas from sunny California. In our bi-monthly episodes (fortnightly, if you hail from Australia), we discussed everything from niche video games to horror movies… and really whatever else entertainment-related that struck our fancy.
Fast forward to today, and we’re not just best friends, we’re also lovers living together in California! The Pixel x Pixel podcast used to be a great way to have a set time to connect and update each other on what we’d been digging (or not digging) recently, but now that we live together, we just don’t have the same drive to keep up with our previous posting schedule (as longtime listeners very likely noticed this year).
We’re both also extremely drawn to writing – we met through our respective gaming blogs, after all. What better way to continue sharing our thoughts (you didn’t think we’d stop, did you?), than to combine our efforts into one website where we can write, podcast, stream, or whatever else tickles our fancy?
So, while this isn’t goodbye to the podcast, take this as an official announcement that it will no longer be updated regularly. Instead, like everything we tend to do, it’ll be an “as-we-feel-like-it” basis. You can find Pixel x Pixel and any other podcasts produced by one or both of us in the Podcast tab of Pixel x Pixel Party.
Going forward, you can expect to see all kinds of things here on Pixel x Pixel Party, from coverage of niche Japanese games to reviews of food at Disneyland (those are things you can read right now here and here).
